1937 Ford – Slant back chassis From Tin Man Fabrication, Inc.
This 1937 Ford project, currently in-house at Tin Man Fabrication has started with some custom frame work and a recessed firewall.
Here is the stock firewall before the Tin Man's crew got to work.
The preliminary metal work is done. In this photo the crew at Tin Man Fabrication have cut out the area to be recessed. All this work is done with the body secured on a frame to ensure a square and balanced finished product.
Here is the finished metal work done to the firewall. Just picture a set of trick Fast Forward Hinges effortlessly sliding the hood forward on cruise night to reveal the healthy V8 lurking underneath.
Here is another shot of the frame rails. The support tubing, tranny cross member and motor mounts were all built on site by the gang at Tin Man Fabrication.
Here is a shot of the frame the Tin Man Fabrication crew built for this '37 Ford. The frame was made out of a set of custom Tin Man frame rails which are laser cut on site.
