This 1933 Chevy Cabriolet came to us as you see here. Tin Man was tasked with:
- Completing all the metal work; installing wheel tubs and getting the floor installed
- Fitting the body panels
- Finishing the LS motor engine and transmission installation
- Repositioning the front suspension
Project Update 1/5/15
The '33 Chevy's body was removed, epoxy primed, sealed and then reinstalled. A Dan Fink side to side Hood Hinge System was also installed; a nice detail to set this Chevy apart from the crowd.
Project Update 1/14/15
The Windshield frame was purchased in 4 parts. It was recast from original parts in bronze and was very rough. It needed a lot of work to fit properly; all attachments points had to be machined, drilled and tapped. Once it was mounted to the body, all the body lines had to be worked to line up. These cars are very rare and originals are not available. Our customer was wood worker by trade and built a beautiful replacement header panel for over the top of the windshield which will wrap around when finished.
