This is a fun build for us as we bring this 1938 Ford 2-ton back to it's original glory. The customer had the major parts of his truck disassembled some time back. Tin Man did all the final disassembly; bagged and tagged everything for identification. All the large parts were then sent out for blasting.
We had the frame and front suspension blasted and painted out of house. Soon we will be getting ready to reassemble the truck and making it a roller again. It was in amazingly good condition for its age. We only had to rebuild the spring shackles, pivot points, and front kingpins. The brakes just needed to be cleaned, and lubed; bearings re-packed, then re-sealed.
The repairs are done on the body, fenders, and doors. The wheels are blasted, painted, and ready for new tires. The original engine is being sent out for rebuild while the rest of the project is being finished.
