'29 Dodge 4 Door Sedan From Tin Man Fabrication, Inc.
This 29 Dodge came to us with the need for a chopped and filled top.
This is one beautifull car.
This is what it looked like when we got it. The care needed some minor door repair and alignment . Otherwise it was a very solid car.
That was one big hole to fill in the roof. We also filled many holes in the firewall.
Ready to start cutting.
The tub. Note the bracing that was put inside the car to keep everything aligned when the roof came off.
This is a sight that is sometimes hard for the customer to swallow.
We took the roof down 2 inches. Usually we would take the metal out below the rear window as opposed to out of the window but the customer liked the smaller rear window.
The roof panel came from a 79 Dodge Ram Charger. We turned it around and it fit nearly perfect. We hammer welded it completely in.
The chop is done.
Its amazing how a coupe of suttle changes makes such a difference in the looks of a car.
