Our customer put in the floor boards on his own prior to bringing the car to Tin Man. He deserves the credit for an excellent job. These floors were not welded in, but fastened with Airplane rivets. Very nice job!

The car must have been in an accident back in the day, this is what we found behind at least two pounds of lead. The A-pillar was nowhere near where it should have been so some repair work was in order before the chop could begin.

Started by removing the outer skin and repairing the window channel.....
The outer skin was installed just before it had to be cut down for the chop.
Bracing was installed to keep the body from flexing when the top was removed.
The A-pillars were cut first in a good location so they would realign nicely when the 2" were removed. The cut in the middle of the roof was made at the seam connecting the front and back half of the roof. 
Here are the A-pillars tacked in place with the 2" removed allowing us to verify the window opening for accurate measurements.
The rear section of the roof was removed next. The cut was made throught the middle of the back window then into a good spot in the b-pillar.
After the section was removed, we placed the roof back on to determine where the relief cuts had to be made. Also, this is a good time to relocate the body line that runs down the B-pillar.
The rear part of the roof was tacked in place, then it was time to realign the drip-edge. We cut out the factory seam to make a clean transition.

This photo doesn't do justice for the work that went into the cowl. This was a rusty area that was repaired.
The bottom of the door was rusty and repaired then fitted to the body.
